The Removal of Mercury

We are happy to provide for the removal of existing mercury containing restorations in patients that are concerned about the health problems associated with mercury.

In order to facilitate a reduction in the exposure to mercury while removing the fillings we use a rubber barrier (known as rubber dam) to isolate the tooth during treatment. This prevents mercury containing dust and vapour from re-entering your system.

The fillings can then be replaces using a mixture of mercury free white fillings, crowns and inlays.
