Our two hygienists, Angela Craggs EDH and Katrina Craig EDH work very closely with the dentists to prevent and treat gum disease.

There is a growing body of evidence linking gum disease with heart disease and strokes. It is also the main reason of loss of teeth and we take the treatment of gum disease very seriously.

Your hygienist can

● Remove calculus (tartar) from teeth by scaling and polishing

● Remove heavy staining from your teeth

● Treat gum disease

● Carry out Fresh Breath Treatments

● Teach good oral hygiene techniques to maintain healthy gums

Your hygienist is often the best person to advise you on the most suitable dental products for your individual needs.

We stock a full range of oral health products at the practice for your convenience.   For smokers we have introduced a jet polishing system which is excellent at removing all the nicotine staining from your teeth.
