Dr Andrew Birnie - BDS FDS RCS Specialist Oral Surgeon

Andrew works for the majority of the week at Royal Cornwall Hospital Truro in the maxilla - facial surgery department. Primarily the bulk of his work consists of oral surgery such as impacted wisdom teeth and retrograde endodontics such as apicectomies referred to him from across Cornwall by dentists and GPs. Andie lives in Newquay and in addition to enjoying his surfing  got married in April. Andie is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Adam Randall - Managing Director Gentle Dental UK Ltd

Qualified in Birmingham 1990 and owner of Gentle Dental since 1993. Special interest in Periodontology (gum diseases) and the nervous patient.

Charles Lansley MBChB FRCS(Ed) BDS FDSRCPS FFDRCS

Charles is the Consultant Maxillo - facial surgeon for Royal Cornwall Hospital. As well as running clinics at the Duchy hospital and for Ransey Healthcare in Bodmin Charles is happy to provide minor surgery, fillers and botox of the head and neck for us here at Gentle Dental. Cases requiring general anaesthesia will be performed in the hospital.

Debbie (Registered Dental Nurse)

Debbie is well known throughout Newquay where she lives with her two young children. Originally a patient of the Practice, Debbie came to  work with us a couple of years ago and is now registered with the General Dental Council as a dental nurse.   In her spare time Debbie loves surfing.   Debbie also organises and works on our facial aesthetics clinic with Charles.  Debbie is also known for her youth work.

Helen - Practice Manager

Helen works primarily on Reception but she is also a qualified speech and language therapist and aromatherapist . In her spare time Helen keeps animals including cats, chickens, rabbits, budgies and two small children.

Jonathan Alcock

Jonathan has been using hypnotherapy to help patients for many years now. In that time he has treated a wide range of phobias and addictions such as smoking. In his spare time Jonathan enjoys travelling, surfing and also works occasionally as a life guard in Newquay

Dr Michael Liedtke - (Zahrnacht) Oral Implantologist

Member of ITI ( Implantology Society based in Basel, Switzerland)
Member of NIC (Implantology Society based in Hamburg, Germany)

Qualified in implantology in 1992 in Hamburg with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists

Organiser of the International Implantology Seminar in June 2008 with international members from England, Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Mint (Registered Dental Nurse)

Mint moved to the UK around 6 years ago following the whirlwind romance between her mother and Mint's now step - father. University educated in Thailand, Mint has kindly agreed to use her massage training to relax patients before or after their appointment.

Dr James Pamplin BDS BSc (Hons)

James has combined his work at Bodmin hospital with the provision of inhalational and intravenous sedation for us here at the Practice.

Kelly - Senior Dental Nurse

Kelly is our senior dental nurse who also works with patients requiring sedation.

Jenna

Jenna has recently joined the team here at the Practice.   Our biggest Top Gear fan she can be seen beaming at you from Reception, or occasionally in with the dentist.

Georgina

George works on both reception and in the surgery.   She divides her leisure time between the beach and her horse.

Angela Craggs EDH

Angela works at Gentle Dental as a hygienist.   Any spare time is taken up with her two children!

Katrina Craig EDH

Katrina Craig is our senior hygienist and qualified 1985 with the Royal Army Dental Corps, moving on to work for the MOD in Dusseldorf for 4 years.   Katrina has been with us since 1998 and has extended her skills with courses in local anaesthetics, impression taking, whitening treatments, medical emergencies, allaying anxiety, orthodontics, smoking cessation, cross infection, sterilization, oral medicine and oral diseases.

Dr Sindy Priede.   BDS
We are very lucky to persuade Sindy to move down with her family to provide care o our patients.  In her spare time, as well as looking after her young son Robert, she enjoys horseriding and exploring Cornwall.
